Bonnie Joy Stoutamyer
Bonnie Joy Stoutamyer
Bonnie began performing on stage when she was 11 years old and never stopped. She teaches voice for the Musical Theater department at CWU along with her roles at Make Music Ellensburg. She is passionate about helping performers have healthy mindsets and grow their confidence. Bonnie has been teaching voice lessons professionally for 10 years She is a classical vocalist, church musician, has sang for video game scores, and gigs for fun around the area. Bonnie lives in Ellensburg with her tiny human, husband, and rescue dog.
Christopher Lerch
Bonnie Joy Stoutamyer
Christopher Lerch, tenor, is a recent graduate with a Masters in choral conducting from Central Washington University, where he also studied vocal performance. He has appeared in a variety of operatic and concert works, including Internationally as Tamino in Die Zauberflöte and Le Hoste in Falstaff, and as well as locally as Prince Charming in the CWU production of Cendrillon. At CWU, he has performed with the Chamber Choir as tenor section leader, a featured soloist, and assistant conductor, contributing to performances of both standard and contemporary choral repertoire.
Christopher's recent accolades include first place in the Classical Graduate Division of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (Intermountain Region) and placement in the CWU Concerto Competition. He has also performed internationally, with appearances across Europe as a member of the Illinois Wesleyan University Collegiate Choir.
Rock Band Camp, 2026, Year 3
We're building rock bands. These musical intensives are open to grades 4-12 of all skill levels. With 5 or 10 days to practice teamwork, responsibility, communication, & a variety of other musical skills, our professional teaching musicians will prepare your kid to take the stage for their rock band's performance.
Led by returning teacher Bronson Moreno & MME staff!
Instrumentation will be chosen by staff depending on student skill & interest, including: piano, guitar, voice, ukulele, bass, or drum set. If you already play another instrument like violin, bring that too. All experience levels accepted; we will find your forte & make you sound good.
TEEN ROCK BAND - grades 8-12
- 2026 dates:
- July 13-24 (weekends off), 11am-3pm
- Public gig time & location TBD on July 24
- Cost: $589 for two weeks + gig
- Non-refundable $100 deposit due at time of registration (which is applied to your total cost), with the remainder due on July 1st.
- We are proud to offer a limited number of partial scholarships for youth in need.
- Ask about extended day option for early arrival or stay late for private lessons or individual practice time (10am-4pm)
JUNIOR ROCK BAND CAMP, grades 4-7
- 2026 dates:
- July 6-10, M-F, 11am-3pm
- Family/friends performance time TBD on July 10
- Cost: $310 for one week + gig
- Non-refundable $100 deposit due at time of registration (which is applied to your total cost), with the remainder due on July 1st.
- We are proud to offer a limited number of partial scholarships for youth in need.
- Ask about extended day option for early arrival and/or stay late (10am-4pm)
