MME Kids Pop Choir
Do you have a kid who loves to sing & dance?
For all youth who are ready to let loose! Using videos for home practice + a few in-person rehearsals, we'll prepare a special performance for the Valley Voices spring concert on June 21st, 2025, complete with energetic singing & choreography. There's nothing quite like the exhilaration of performing well for a large audience!

What: We'll be singing two songs at a community choir concert held at the United Methodist Church (by the library). The first song is our pop feature - "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten & covered by Kidz Bop Kids! This will be memorized & choreographed, with a karaoke track. The second song will be with the adult choir on the America the Beautiful melody, several verses.
Home Rehearsals: Every singer will receive a link to the learning videos where you will learn your parts at home before you come to the group rehearsals.
Group Rehearsals:
1. Tuesday, June 10, 6:00pm (at Ellensburg Presbyterian Church)
2. Tuesday, June 17, 6:00pm (at the Ellensburg Presbyterian Church)
3. Friday, June 20, dress rehearsal, evening time TBD between 5-7pm (at the United Methodist Church)
--> Saturday, June 21st, show time! Call time will probably be 6pm & show starts at 6:30pm. (Methodist Church)
Cost: $20, due at the first group rehearsal. (BTW, we have several scholarships available. Please let us know if that would help your family.)

Preschool Music Explorers
Now offered twice each week!
Ages 2-5 + their Grown-Up will sing, dance, & play instruments together, building our musical skills as well as friendships. We even wrap it up with a craft on special days.
*Monday afternoons, 2:30-3:15pm
*Thursday mornings, 10:30-11:15am
Spring session: March 31-May 22
*Join one or both sessions! $120/session.
*One-time material fee, includes a bag of music supplies: $25/student
*Ask about CWU student discounts & scholarships if needed

A well-rounded introduction for ages 7-10. Group classes are highly motivating, full of personal growth opportunities, & musically satisfying at a lower cost. With just 4 students per session, make sure you register early each quarter!

This friendly group is for you to learn, practice, & have fun on your instrument. We'll jam with classic & interesting tunes with Director Jan, Teacher Nate, & a variety of guest teachers. As with all of our group adult classes (ages 15-115), we keep it light & have a great time. No experience needed.
*Thursdays, 6:30-7:20pm
*$80/month (prorated for your first month & for holidays)
*CWU student discounts 50%
*One-time material fee: $25
*Trial class = $10 to see if it's right for you.
Required materials:
- Acoustic guitar, or electric guitar with a small, battery-powered amp
- A tuner, preferably clip-on chromatic or clip-on "guitar tuner"
- Guitar strap & capo of your choice
Noontime Ukulele Club

This friendly lunchtime group is for you to learn, practice, & have fun on your instrument. We'll jam with classic & interesting tunes with Director Jan & guest teachers. Open to beginners through intermediate players (ages 15-115), & as with all of our group adult classes, we keep it light & have a great time. No experience needed.

*$80/month (prorated for your first month & for holidays)

- Soprano, concert, or tenor ukulele (baritone is ok for more advanced players if you can transpose)
- A tuner, preferably clip-on chromatic or clip-on "ukulele tuner"
- Optional but highly recommended: a strap (double-check that it is the right one for your instrument style)

We meet Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm, at the Ellensburg Presbyterian Church. Open to adults & older teens by donation. You do not need to read music to be successful, but will use the skill if you have it. Practice recordings are often provided. Join us to make a joyful noise!

One-on-One or Small Group Instruction
We teach in-person at our downtown studio, as well as virtual/hybrid private lessons for your convenience. See About Us for information about our teachers & instruments offered.
For private lessons - one monthly payment includes your lesson time slot, access to all of our incredible teachers, & invitations to our all-studio events. We do not have instruments available for rent at this time, but we are happy to answer questions about how to get one.
Small groups - Do you have a group of friends or family who want to learn together? We are happy to customize a small group class for you!
Cost - Current prices are listed in our registration form. We strive to offer music-making opportunities for our entire community, so if our fees are strain on your family or you are having other difficulties getting started, let's talk. Scholarships may be available. Our friends at HopeSource also offer an extra-curricular scholarship for youth in qualified families.

The Ellensburg Strum-Along is a free, casual music-making series for guitar/ukulele players (+ singers & random other musicians) of all ages. We provide the chords & lyrics for an eclectic mix of popular oldies, traditional, & modern songs. & you just bring your instrument(s)/voice! We meet all around the county, so check the Strum-Along page for the next event date & location, then drop in to play with other like-minded people.
