The Valley Voices invite you to the 3rd Annual "Classics+Rock" concert. This year, the concept of "Home" is explored in all of its reflective complexity. Here's our Facebook event page.
You don't want to miss this unique performance featuring choral & solo voices accompanied by piano & a full rock band as well as special guest performances from Central Washington University, the Make Music Ellensburg Youth Pop Choir, local authors & composers, & more.
Come early to bid on some treasures at our silent auction, including a chance to dedicate a song to a loved one during the performance.
*Time is subject to change.
*The Youth Pop Choir will be accepting enthusiastic singers (under 18) who can learn a tune & choreography at home + a few rehearsals in May & June. Contact Make Music Ellensburg for more information.
*June 21st is international Make Music Day. Join us to celebrate!
We welcome new singers year-round. You do not need to read music to be successful, but will use the skill if you have it. Practice recordings are often provided. Our minimum requirements are simply an ability to 1) match pitch, 2) blend in, 3) strive to be a positive influence in our community.
See more information below, or click this button & show up on Tuesday! Spring season rehearsals start on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025.
All are invited to our weekly after-rehearsal dinners.
Register here & then show up (or vice-versa)! Our Spring Season will start Tuesday, January 14, 2025, & new members are welcome.
We will meet Tuesdays, 6:30-8pm, at the Ellensburg Presbyterian Church, 1307 E 3rd St., Ellensburg.
(We are on break in July & over the winter holidays. Watch our Facebook page for schedule changes.)
We are a non-auditioned, mixed-voice (SATB) choir, open to older teens & up under the direction of Jan Jaffe. (Jan is owner & director of Make Music Ellensburg.) We are a diverse group of people, welcoming & supportive of one another's musical & personal growth, & all are invited to our weekly post-rehearsal social hour.
We have several seasons each year with a wide variety of repertoire. Our approximate schedule:
Founded around 2012 by Ellensburg's own Lee Bates, this "do-good" choir has raised thousands of dollars for local non-profits & performed with dozens of special guest artists. As far as we know, we have been the only not-church-based community choir around for many years.
" I wanted to say that when I left the performance on Friday night, my heart felt so full. I haven't enjoyed singing like that since I was little. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of this choir and community." - Winter 2024
"Being a part of this group has been more than I ever expected it could be." - June 2023
"It was such a beautiful evening & joyous experience." - Spring 2024
