2) We two have run about the hills,
And pulled the fine gowans (a flower).
We’ve wandered on many a weary foot.
Sing of (maybe) time gone by.
3) We two have sported (played) in the brooks,
From morning until dinner,
But seas between us, broad, roaring,
Sing of time gone by…
4) And here’s a hand, my trusty friend,
& give me a hand of yours,
We’ll take a cup of kindness yet
For the sake of auld lang syne!
